Trainer & Nutrition Coach

Since 2022, I've been a certified corrective exercise specialist, nutrition coach, and personal trainer from the International Sports Science Association (ISSA). After I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2019 and forced to learn how to effectively use lifestyle tools to achieve my own remission, I have employed a self-learned holistic approach to training. I emphasize body functionality and capability, highlighting how each component of our lifestyle synergizes to influence the larger puzzle of health.

Niko

Corrective Exercise Specialist

Certified as a level three corrective exercise specialist by the National Association of Sports Medicine. I have worked as a Personal trainer since 2021, and after getting into a car accident which left me unable to walk for several years, I have become an expert in rehabbing soft tissue injuries and integrated training. As someone who understands how pain can limit your life, I aim to prepare your body for any of life's challenges and guarantee the quality and longevity of your future.

  • Personalization refers to consideration of all the variables at play, something that just isn’t possible for most people. Through the intake process, we learn about your goals and ambitions from you, as well as the lifestyle you lead and how it contributes to your availability and financial freedom. After learning these variables, we conduct a comprehensive movement assessment to learn about your body’s areas of priority and identifying joint misalignments. From there our timeline, delivery and approach can be uniquely tailored based off of all the information we’ve collected. As we move through the process, we use our consultations with you to make adaptive adjustments as you practice the program on your own. 

  • Training is a lifestyle, so when you finish your program, you are welcome to take the tools we’ve given you and keep at it on your own. If you wish to continue, we will conduct another movement assessment on you and integrate your process into the next step for you in your journey, helping you to achieve a new quality of movement.

  • Yes! Spero assigns you a coach to work with that will be actively training you throughout the process. The coach is responsible for conducting your movement assessment and mobility screen, program creation, weekly consultations designed to actively coach and teach, and consistent communication. This creates an environment where the direction, accountability and guidance comes from us, but the consistency to make it happen comes from you. 

  • No you don’t! With that being said, having access to more equipment is always recommended as it increases the possible options for movements we can provide, so having equipment or a gym membership is considered a great asset that will enhance the quality and consistency of your training. If you train with us in person, this won’t be as much of a problem since we will have all the equipment you need at your location. 

  • Absolutely, we believe that injury rehab is one of our primary strengths. From your initial consultation, and movement analysis, we are able to identify movement dysfunctions, underactive and overactive muscle groups, joint misalignments, and muscle imbalances. From here, we are able to blend a unique approach of physio rehab and traditional strength training to form the basis for long term functional improvement.
